Japan Rocks! Volume I

13 07 2007

First of all, thanks for 2,500 hits!

Now on to today’s story: Japan Rocks!

No, literally. Earthquake number 1 occurred this week, one morning around 5 or 6 am. Apparently it lasted for around a minute. Either way I slept through it and would have been none the wiser save for the fact that Bob was somehow awake at the time and later told us about it. Sounds like fun. Next time, if the magnitude isn’t too scary-high maybe I’ll climb into the roof and await my chance to go building surfing.

Yeah; and the earthquake was actually all my doing. Laying down the true meaning of sorrow onto the poor earth.. :(

I think Japan wants to shake, rattle and roll.

Cool to read the Drift entry, and seeing the pics was very good since they helped me to understand the terms of drifting. ^_^

Feel the earthquake last night? I know Tokyo did, but since they are more on a sandy-type plain and you are in the mountains, Kofu and most of the area around it wouldn’t have felt as much. Then again, downtown Kofu used to be a river valley, so the shaking would be more intense there, as a few of my friends who lived down by the train station told me.

Sorry to go geologist, but I did plenty of research in that area. I miss it as much as my friends. At least the typhoon weakened enough so it sounds like the typical big rainstorms that the typhoons became while I was there. Can’t wait to read more of your adventures! :)
